We are excited about our new product we're offering for our Agents- Eye Spy!
Why Eye Spy?
- We have a Client who is building product databases of product details, UPC codes, photos, categories, etc, etc, etc! They need our help.
- When new scans come through their system, they have a bare minimum level of detail. That's where Field Agent comes in with Eye Spy! If we can find the UPC/products that they have in their system, we can get paid for providing more information for them to fill in these database gaps.
How are they unique?
- We don't know exactly where to find the item. We provide suggestions/possibilities, but can't make any guarantees.
- You do not get paid unless you find the EXACT requested UPC in-person, and complete the job as requested.
- Important: We are not able to offer compensation for gas or time searching.
Why is the information given so vague?
- We don't get paid unless you get paid. We are in this together and want you to succeed!
- We give you ALL of the clues that we (and our Clients) have available to us.
- The clues may be more or less clear. Sometimes the information is even inaccurate due to mistakes at retail level categorizations or database issues. This can sometimes be comical - and other times confusing or frustrating.
- The reason we have the jobs to offer is that the client needs information about the product to fill in gaps in a product database.
What information will I be given?
- UPC – The item you find must have the EXACT same 12-digit UPC.
- Retailer – This is just a suggestion of a place to start because there is a record of this product scanning at this location, you are free to find the item anywhere. You could find the item in the suggested retailer, in a totally different retailer, or even at home.
- Product Description – This will likely be vague as it is what has been registered at the retailer when the product was scanned for the receipt. This description is all that we and our Client have available to us.
-
Category - This will be a likely or possible section where you could find the item. Sometimes the section is WAY off.. But it's all the information that our Client currently has and our best guess at any tips for you.
- Sub-Category - Like the Category, this is the best info that we have received (and it's the best that our Client has available). It may be helpful and accurate - and sometimes it's WAY off.
How can I be successful with Eye Spy Jobs?
- If you don't find the item, please cancel the reservation - or just don't reserve it until you find it. Canceling an Eye Spy job will not negatively affect your agent score. Submitting a job without finding the exact item will result in a Denial which will negatively affect your agent statistics.
- Familiarize yourself with UPCs and item descriptions. You will start to learn what the abbreviations mean.
- Scan through the list of items requested and then keep your eye out for them.
- Once you find the item, follow the instructions carefully.
- Capture clear photos. We can’t accept blurry photos or photos with a glare. We must be able to read EVERY WORD on the package.
- Answer all of the requested questions.
We hope that this helps! As always, feel free to reach out to us with questions!

I actually located around 16 items yesterday morning. Where some were obvious what they were, not a single upc code matched any of.the products. It turned out to be a waate of my time and used up a lot of gas going to 10 different stores. Would not suggest this task to anyone.
I agree with you Rey Leija, the same happens with me, or it will be every number except one that matches UPC. Just feels like a waste of time? For something I enjoy doing
Hi @rey and @felicia!
Thank you for the feedback! These can definitely be a challenge (and frustrating at times). The item's UPC is the key information on these, and not just the description. The location, description, etc are just clues for us to utilize to locate the correct UPC.
UPCs can vary across the country and when/if packaging changes or item information changes. Different retailers will also oftentimes carry items with different UPCs.
We recognize that these can be very challenging.
However, the good news is that Agents get rewarded for finding thousands of these items a week.
We appreciate you and hope to get to continue working with you! However, we understand if you no longer wish to do these types of jobs.
The exact same thing happens to me, literally EVERY SINGLE TIME! It's extremely frustrating, when I have THE EXACT ITEM they are looking for, EVERYTHING IS CORRECT, EXCEPT THE LAST 2 NUMBERS ON UPC ARE ALWAYS OFF.I legit have luck about 20% of the time. But, times are so tough right now, I'll do anything to make so extra money. But this is just beginning to be to much.
Well after accepting one eye spy hid I actually found the item with the clues listed on correct aisle. It was easy even though the store didn’t have the correct price listed on shelves I literally read/matched the UPC numbers exactly I was so excited thanks for the opportunity to earn free money
Do not waste your time !!!! I found EXACT items field agent upc requested was incorrect because I am telling you I found the EXACT items for example 52 oz mini m and ms and 64 oz horizon 2% milk and they rejected them because upc was wrong. Ridiculous!!! Items were an exact match to the T!!! What a horrible experience and a waste of my time this app has been. I will be leaving it a horrible review if they don’t decide to compensate me for the exact items I found . DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME!!!!!
I usually don’t leave comments on anything but this time I had to, esp after seeing what everyone else was saying, but I agree with these guys. This is the biggest waste of my time and energy! I have even went to multiple stores trying to find items. It don’t matter if it’s a Walmart, dollar tree, Walgreens, any store….none of the items match any UPCs. At first I thought this would be fun to do but I was way wrong. Even my daughter was helping me the other day and she was like, “mom this is nothing but a scam!” I would like to think it wasn’t because I have done other jobs in this app but this category I would have to agree with her. It is making this whole thing look bad on whoever set this up. We shouldn’t be having to spend so much time in a store searching esp when it’s suppose to be on the down low. Talk about suspicious activity. Someone needs to sit down rethink how this should really work.
Actually is amazing to be working for Field Agent. I successfully completed 140 UPC last week... and just in 7 months I have earned more than 10k usd. It is amazing, the support is amazing, the app runs perfectly. Thank you!!! Thank you for everything ❤️ ♥️ . Sincerely JC from Miami, FL
My actual job is a retail merchandiser. I work for one of the biggest operations in the field. So Mr. Julio I give you props on doing that good with this side hustle. Apparently you know something most of us don’t. Maybe it’s my region…but there is no way anybody could do that around here. I’m in stores all day long and believe me I do try to stay with this app and a few more because hey… a few extra dollars can help anybody. So to you sir… keep on rocking on…
